1. Java/J2EE has been the go-to technology for all scalable and platform-independent systems in the past
2. Most banks and financial institutions place their trust on Java-based applications
3. It saves at least Rs.2-3 lakhs in the initial costs for server, OS and database license
4. No need to change ERP solution after 3-4 years due to system freeze issues, as generally seen in .net ERP systems
5. PostgreSQL is an acid tested database and the best in open source, compared to MS SQL server
6. Java has the best-in-class error exception handling resulting in a highly stable, secure and scalable system
7. Java can integrate very well with other open-source technologies such as Linux, PHP, Python etc.
