If we want to run a process in background due to various reasons like time taken to complete the process, then we can use timer conditions in Workflow Management as follows.

Ex. If we want to generate monthly attendance and salaries in background for more number of employees, then we can just add one status as Process In Background and add two workflows with the timer conditions as shown in the image below. This will save lot of time for the HR team and reduce the screen time of users.
