Company Status for TDS validating the PAN. Fourth character of PAN signifies the status of the PAN holder. So cases to be used mentioned below:

PVT LTD or LTD ---> "C" can be used as 4th character of PAN

PARTNERSHIP FIRM ---> "F" can be used as 4th character of PAN

PROPRIETARY/HUF/BOI/AOP ---> "P" or "H" can be used as 4th character of PAN

CHS ---> "C" can be used as 4th character of PAN

GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY ---> "P" can be used as 4th character of PAN
